Mondo is partnering with businesses, industry and government to deliver an efficient, secure and sustainable energy future.

Deakin University’s smart energy microgrid project is a $30 million initiative to create an industrial-scale energy system and integrated research and education platform at its Waurn Ponds campus.

Mondo is part of the project, which brings together leaders in education, industry and government to design, construct and operate an innovative renewable energy vision as well as provide students with a range of hands-on opportunities to contribute to the future of energy.

We will deliver a 14.5 hectare solar farm, 7.25 megawatt micro-grid, and a 1 megawatt battery facility. The Deakin Micro-Grid, expected to begin operation in 2019, will reduce carbon emissions every year by 12,000 tonnes.
