Mondo is very proud to be an approved VPP provider as part of the innovative Solar Victoria Virtual Power Plant (VPP) pilot program.
Virtual power plants enable households with solar batteries to share their unused, clean energy with fellow Victorians while saving on their own power bills.
Solar Victoria is making it easier for eligible Victorians to join approved VPP programs to create local networks of houses where they can feed excess energy stored in their solar batteries to the grid, so it can be used when needed. Households that sign up to feed in their excess energy as part of the Virtual Power Plant Pilot Program will receive a higher $4,174 rebate to purchase a battery. There are 2000 rebates available.
Mondo has two initiatives approved under the VPP pilot program, both of which will pay participants for excess energy, enable bill savings, and facilitate improved grid reliability for participants and others in their community.
