Earlier this week representatives from Mondo and AusNet Services helped out in the FareShare kitchen to help prepare over 1000 nutritious meals for people doing it tough this festive season.
Thousands of people across Australia experience food insecurity. FareShare is an organisation committed to rescuing surplus food to cook, free nutritious meals for those in need.
With the help of volunteers FareShare cook 12,000 meals a day so on Monday some of our team members rolled up their sleeves, thoroughly washed their hands (of course!) and braved the approximate 40 degree heat to make and cook 1080 sausage rolls and 1728 quiches.
Recently a Mondo team also worked with EatUp to prepare 1000 sandwiches for kids who go to school hungry.
