Dundonnell Community Mini-grid

As part of the Dundonnell Wind Farm development, Tilt Renewables is committed to providing support for the local Dundonnell community through the creation of a community solar mini-grid, the first of its kind in western Victoria.

35 homes in the Dundonnell Wind Farm area are receiving a generous financial subsidy of $15,000 per household to install a Mondo energy system, providing the community with the opportunity to generate and store their own energy at a heavily discounted rate.

Mondo are delivering the Dundonnell Community Mini-Grid project to supply and install high-quality systems coupled with Mondo’s Ubi technology for advanced energy monitoring and system optimization. Many of these properties are 2-phase SWER sites with export limits and Ubi works with these requirements to ensure the customers access the maximum value from the systems installed.

The completion of the Dundonnell Wind Farm and Community Mini Grid projects will result in this region becoming an epicentre of the new, clean energy future — a future which will support reliable electricity supply, affordability and sustainability for households and businesses locally and across the state.
